Job summary

Cambian New Elizabethan School is seeking a Specialist Occupational Therapist to join a dedicated multidisciplinary team for term-time hours. You will perform quality assessments, prepare reports and deliver needs-led interventions for young people with autism spectrum disorders and related needs.

Working autonomously within a supportive environment, you will collaborate with school staff to embed sensory strategies and promote best practice across the setting.

Qualifications

• Degree or postgraduate Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
• HCPC registration and RCOT registration are essential.
• Experience working with ASD client group is required or strongly preferred CAMHS experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality occupational therapy assessments and reports for young people.
• Provide needs-led interventions and contribute to service development.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to embed sensory strategies across the environment.

Job Role

This is Term time only You will work alongside a full multidisciplinary team including clinicians, care and Education staff. You will have opportunities to be part of the provision development and contribute to the improvement Occupational Therapy service. Working autonomously, you will provide quality assessments, reports and needs led interventions for young people and work with the school staff to embed sensory strategies across the environment.

Essential

• Experience working with ASD client group
• CAMHS experience preferred
• A degree or a post graduate diploma in Occupational Therapy
• Registration with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) and RCOT
