Job summary

Qualifications

• Essential apprenticeship or military equivalent completed.
• Human Factors training completed.
• Experience reading electrical wiring diagrams.
• Engineering qualification, aviation experience preferred.
• Experience with independent inspections is a plus.
• Familiarity with Military MRP 145 regulatory articles.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance activities within trade boundaries and procedures.
• Contribute to team delivery of targets and goals.
• Follow Tool Control procedures and participate in team meetings.
• Support quality reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Adhere to QMS/SMS/EMS and related manuals.
• Promote behavioural competencies and safety, including debris control.
• Report to Front Line Manager and work to the required output.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Effectively carry out a variety of maintenance activities within trade boundaries and authorisations, following current procedures and approved source information.
• Contribute to team delivery of agreed targets and goals.
• Comply with current Tool Control procedures.
• Attend and contribute to team meetings.
• Carry out Improving Quality and Continuous Quality Improvement reviews.
• Support a climate of continuous improvement to assist productivity, quality and lean methodology.
• Undertake work to the highest level of competence and perform other duties within the team to support output.
• Work within and promote the Behavioural Competencies.
• Adhere to procedures relating to foreign object debris control.
• Maintain compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety Management Systems (SMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and associated business manuals.

Professional Qualifications / Education and Training

  • Suitable engineering qualification, preferably in an aviation area.
  • Previous experience of independent inspections.
  • Familiarity with Military MRP 145 and associated Regulatory Articles (RA’s).

Experience

• Previous experience within a maintenance hangar would be an advantage.
