Job summary

Recruit4Talent Ltd. is seeking a Production Supervisor for a recycling facility in Runcorn. You will lead the operation to deliver safe, compliant, and efficient production performance, managing Shift Team Leaders and driving continuous improvement under the Production Manager.

Key responsibilities include safety leadership, KPI delivery (throughput, yield, OEE, cost), and collaboration with Engineering for asset reliability. This role emphasises Lean/TPM and sustainability alignment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in manufacturing, recycling or process industries.
• Proven track record improving KPIs using Lean/TPM.
• Knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and asset care concepts.
• Strong analytical, coaching and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with HSE, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
• Manage Shift Team Leaders to hit throughput, yield, quality, OEE and cost targets.
• Drive continuous improvement via Lean, TPM and data-driven decisions.
• Develop team capability through coaching, performance management and succession planning.
• Ensure products meet customer, quality and regulatory requirements with SOP adherence.
• Collaborate with Engineering/Maintenance to maximise equipment reliability.
• Lead operational reporting, reviews and improvement actions for the Production Manager.
• Support sustainability goals through waste reduction and energy efficiency.

Production Supervisor sought by a recycling facility in Runcorn. This subsidiary of an international, £multibillion turnover plastics manufacturer is focused on growing the circular economy and they see innovation within PVC recycling as pivotal to their global sustainability strategy.

Your Role as Production Supervisor:

As Production Supervisor, you will lead the operation to deliver safe, compliant, and efficient production performance. You will manage Shift Team Leaders, drive operational excellence and continuous improvement, and ensure achievement of safety, quality, productivity, cost, and environmental objectives while supporting the Production Manager.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Lead a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with HSE, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 requirements
• Manage Shift Team Leaders to deliver production targets for throughput, yield, quality, OEE, and cost performance
• Drive continuous improvement through Lean, TPM, Root Cause Analysis, and data-driven decision making
• Develop team capability through coaching, performance management, succession planning, and employee engagement
• Ensure products meet customer, quality, and regulatory requirements while promoting adherence to SOPs and best practices
• Work with Engineering and Maintenance to maximise equipment reliability, asset performance, and plant availability
• Lead operational reporting, performance reviews, and improvement actions, deputising for the Production Manager when required
• Support sustainability goals through waste reduction, energy efficiency, and resource optimisation

Required Skills & Experience:

• Manufacturing, recycling, or process industry leadership experience
• Proven people management and team development skills
• Strong HSE knowledge and operational excellence mindset
• Experience improving KPIs through Lean, TPM, and continuous improvement methodologies
• Strong analytical, communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills
• Experience in plastics, polymer processing, or recycling
• Knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, TPM, and Asset Carex

Pay, Working Hours & Benefits:

• £19.14 per hour base rate
• £3.83 per hour (20%) Leadership Allowance
• 37.5 Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 8am – 4.30pm, 8am-2pm Friday
