Job summary

L&'ETO Caffe is seeking a Van Delivery Driver to join their London team, covering weekend and night shifts. You will collect goods from a supplier or central warehouse, plan efficient routes, load the van, track deliveries, and obtain customers' signatures.

The role requires a clean driving license, reliability, and knowledge of London geography. You will enjoy staff benefits including strong food and drink discounts on shift and access to an employee assistance programme.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid UK driving licence.
• Experience with night/weekend deliveries is preferred.
• Able to lift and carry boxes as needed.

Responsibilities

• Collect goods from a manufacturer or warehouse and distribute to branches.
• Plan the delivery route in the most efficient way and follow rota.
• Load the vehicle in a way that ensures that the planned route matches the order of deliveries.
• Contact recipients of the delivery while en route to ensure their presence.
• Update the tracking system regularly so that customers know when their items will be delivered.
• Record daily, weekly mileage as well as fuel usage.
• Make deliveries, share any associated invoice with recipients and get customers' signatures.
• Update delivery records and return undelivered items.
• Carry out multi-drop deliveries to customers in a safe and timely manner.
• Adhere to all legislative requirements.

Now let's talk about your role:

• Ability to work Night shift and Morning shift as per Rota including swapping shifts as needed.
• Collect goods from a manufacturer or warehouse and distribute to branches.
• Plan the delivery route in the most efficient way and follow rota.
• Load the vehicle in a way that ensures that the planned route matches the order of deliveries.
• Contact recipients of the delivery while en route to ensure their presence.
• Update the tracking system regularly so that customers know when their items will be delivered.
• Record daily, weekly mileage as well as fuel usage.
• Make deliveries, share any associated invoice with recipients and get customers' signatures.
• Update delivery records and return undelivered items.
• Carrying out multi drop deliveries to customers in a safe and timely manner.
• Adhering to all legislative requirements.
• Can lift and carry heavy and light boxes. You would be required to load your vehicle.
• Sweep out crates, tidy up packing area and clean out van after deliveries.

• Have a clean driving license, no ban or endorsement.

It would be even better (but not essential) if:

• You've worked in a food production environment. Experience in delivering bread and pastries, would be an advantage.
