Job summary

The Cambian Group at Cambian Great Dunmow School is seeking a dedicated classroom support assistant to help pupils aged 11–19 with social, emotional and mental health needs. You will help create an inspiring classroom, foster inclusion, and support learning activities.

You will work 1:1 or 2:1 with students, assisting teachers and using technology to tailor activities. Training, DBS, and progression opportunities are provided within the UK’s largest care provider.

Responsibilities

• Assisting students in their educational and social development.
• Providing support inside and outside of the classroom, so they can fully engage in a wide range of activities.
• Helping to set up activities for students, using technology or adjusting the environment to suit their needs.
• Supporting teachers, engaging with students, providing learning support, and reacting to situations in the classroom in a positive, non-disruptive manner.
• Working 1:1 or 2:1 with some students, to give them the time and support they need to learn.

Job description

Salary Details: £23,370.40 per annum

Cambian Great Dunmow School is an small independent specialist provision that provides relevant, positive and high-quality education experiences and support for your child. We cater for children and young people aged 11 to 19 with ongoing social, emotional and mental health difficulties with associated complex needs.

You’ll be:
