Cambian Great Dunmow School is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support students aged 11 to 19 with social, emotional and mental health needs. The role is based in Great Dunmow, Essex, offering 40 hours per week during term time on a permanent contract, with a salary of £23,370.40 per annum.

Cambian Great Dunmow School is an small independent specialist provision that provides relevant, positive and high-quality education experiences and support for your child. We cater for children and young people aged 11 to 19 with ongoing social, emotional and mental health difficulties with associated complex needs.

You’ll be:

• Assisting students in their educational and social development.
• Providing support inside and outside of the classroom, so they can fully engage in a wide range of activities.
• Helping to set up activities for students, using technology or adjusting the environment to suit their needs.
• Supporting teachers, engaging with students, providing learning support, and reacting to situations in the classroom in a positive, non-disruptive manner.
• Working 1:1 or 2:1 with some students, to give them the time and support they need to learn.
