Jobandtalent is recruiting for a Production Operative Grade 1 to work with a leading paper product manufacturing company in Gosport. This role focuses on maintaining the efficiency of manufacturing equipment and supporting the production team.

Shifts include 3x Day shift, 2x off, 2x night shift, with pattern variations. The position offers an hourly pay rate of £12.71 and requires working days and nights, plus a willingness to adapt to operating demands.

Qualifications

• Previous Manufacturing or Production experience.
• BTEC National Certificate Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Worked with special purpose machinery.
• PC Literate.
• Experience of mechanical equipment fault finding and rectification.
• Working independently.
• Organised.
• Proactive.
• Flexible in terms of tasks undertaken.
• Capable of building and maintaining good working relationships, being a team member.

Responsibilities

• Ensure maximum effectiveness of all paper product manufacturing equipment.
• Fault find and rectify minor technical issues within capability.
• Notify engineering when issues are outside of remit.
• Make recommendations to improve efficiency.
• Work collaboratively in a team to maximise production output.
