Job summary

Micronclean is seeking two enthusiastic GMP Cleaners to join our team in Glasgow on a part-time basis. You will work Monday to Wednesday 6.00pm–9.00pm, maintaining cleanliness in GMP environments and following SOPs. Training will be provided to ensure understanding of quality, safety and environmental requirements.

You will document monthly cleans, complete logs, and liaise with the cleaning team and site staff. The role supports compliance with GMP and COSHH where applicable.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience.
• Good written and spoken English.
• General good health.
• Reasonable fitness level for standing most of the day.
• Willing to wear full PPE as directed.
• Willing to work to strict timelines in GMP environments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out monthly laboratory cleans and document results.
• Produce GDP compliant reports and documentation.
• Maintain high cleanliness standards following SOPs.
• Complete area logbooks accurately as required by SOPs.
• Report equipment faults to GMP Cleaning Supervisor/Team Leaders.
• Liaise daily with cleaning team, staff and customers.

A brand-new GMP Cleaner vacancy has arisen in our fast-growing company. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our team.

LOCATION: WEST OF SCOTLAND SCIENCE PARK, 1 KELVIN WALKWAY, GLASGOW G20 0SP

JOB TITLE:GMP Cleaner

JOB TYPE:Part Time

HOURS OF WORK: Monday to Wednesday 6.00pm – 9.00pm

PAY:£13.46 per hour

JOB PURPOSE: We are looking for two enthusiastic, hardworking individuals to join our friendly team working in Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environments. You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all designated areas as directed using appropriate equipment and/or materials as supplied.

Primary Responsibilities – working on our client site in Glasgow as part of our Molecular department. Completing and documenting routine monthly cleans of laboratories and laboratory equipment (Bio Safety Cabinet, centrifuges) surfaces and cabinets.

Duties to include:

• Produce GDP Compliant reports and documentation
• Cleaning in the GMP (sterile environment), administration areas (offices & toilets)
• Maintain the highest standard of cleanliness within assigned areas by ensuring that the relevant work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed
• Ensure accurate completion of area logbooks as required by SOPs
• Ensure regular checks of the equipment and machines used during the working day. Any faults/defects to be reported to GMP
• Participate in the Health and Safety Policy of the Company and report any dangers or hazards to GMP Cleaning Supervisor/Team Leaders
• Attend training sessions appertaining to post
• Carry out any duties as required by the GMP Cleaning Coordinator/Team Leaders
• Liaise on a daily basis with other members of the cleaning team, other staff, and customers
• All employees are required to, and are responsible for adhering to Quality, Compliance and Environmental, Health and Safety regulations and Micronclean procedures applicable to their role. Training will be provided to ensure that the procedures are understood, and responsibilities are defined

Essential

• Previous cleaning experience
• Must have a good level of written and spoken English
• General good health
• Reasonable standard of fitness as job holder on feet for most of the day
• Prepared to wear full uniform at all times including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as directed by Line Manager and in accordance with the working instructions / procedures
• Prepared to work to strict timelines in isolated areas and follow stringent dress codes relevant to GMP
• Good standard of IT literacy – Microsoft Office
• Flexible, regarding ability to support other shift patterns when required

Desirable but not essential

• Experience within a similar industry
• Team worker with a flexible approach
• Knowledge of COSHH
• An understanding of GMP and quality systems
• Good communication skills
• Machinery skills
