Job summary

Micronclean is seeking a GMP Cleaner to join our team at Amber Therapeutic in Didcot, Oxford. This part-time role runs Monday to Friday from 5:00am to 7:00am, with pay starting at £13.45 per hour and rising to £13.95 after a 6-month probation.

You will maintain cleanliness in GMP environments and office areas, adhering to SOPs and quality standards. We value reliable, detail-oriented individuals with a good command of English and a readiness to learn.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience required.
• Must have a good level of written and spoken English.
• Basic IT literacy (Microsoft Office).
• Flexible to support other shift patterns when required.

Responsibilities

• Clean ceilings, walls, floors and surfaces to maintain high audit standards.
• Produce GDP compliant reports and documentation.
• Clean GMP sterile and administration areas (offices & toilets).
• Maintain cleanliness by following SOPs and work instructions.
• Complete area logbooks as required by SOPs.
• Report faults/defects to GMP Cleaning Area Manager.
• Participate in Health and Safety policy and training.
• Liaise with team and customers daily.

Position Details

• LOCATION: Amber Therapeutic – Didcot, Oxford
• JOB TITLE: GMP Cleaner
• JOB TYPE: Part Time
• HOURS OF WORK: Monday to Friday 5:00am to 7:00am
• PAY: £13.45 per hour increasing to £13.95 per hour after successful completion of 6-months probationary period

JOB PURPOSE: We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking individual to join our friendly team working in Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environments and admin areas. You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all designated areas as directed using appropriate equipment and/or materials as supplied.

Primary Responsibilities

• Cleaning of ceilings, walls, floors and surfaces including vents as required to keep a high audit standard at all times, in addition to office areas.
• Produce GDP Compliant reports and documentation
• Cleaning in the GMP (sterile environment), administration areas (offices & toilets)
• Maintain the highest standard of cleanliness within assigned areas by ensuring that the relevant work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed
• Ensure accurate completion of area logbooks as required by SOPs
• Ensure regular checks of the equipment and machines used during the working day. Any faults/defects to be reported to GMP Cleaning Area Manager
• Participate in the Health and Safety Policy of the Company and report any dangers or hazards to GMP Cleaning Supervisor/Team Leaders
• Attend training sessions appertaining to post.
• Carry out any duties as required by the GMP Cleaning Leadership Team
• Liaise on a daily basis with other members of the cleaning team, other staff, and customers.
• All employees are required to, and are responsible for adhering to Quality, Compliance and Environmental, Health and Safety regulations and Micronclean procedures applicable to their role. Full training will be provided to ensure that the procedures are understood, and responsibilities are defined

Essential

• Previous cleaning experience
• Must have a good level of written and spoken English
• General good health
• Reasonable standard of fitness as job holder on feet for duration of the shift
• Prepared to wear full uniform at all times including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as directed by Line Manager and in accordance with the working instructions / procedures
• Prepared to work to strict timelines in isolated areas and follow stringent dress codes relevant to GMP
• Good standard of IT literacy – Microsoft Office
• Flexible, regarding ability to support other shift patterns when required

Desirable but not essential

• Experience within a similar industry
• Team worker with a flexible approach
• Knowledge of COSHH
• An understanding of GMP and quality systems
• Good communication skills
• Machinery skills
