Job summary

Travail Employment Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a Production Technician to join a leading manufacturer of stainless steel products based in Gillingham, Kent. You'll work under the Factory Manager, setting and operating machinery, while supporting production schedules and quality standards.

The role is permanent, Mon-Fri 7am-4.30pm (11am finish on Friday) with a salary of 30,000–32,000 GBP per annum plus benefits including 33 days holiday, pension, welfare scheme, canteen and car

Qualifications

• Previous machine operating experience in an engineering or similar environment.
• Good knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics, coupled with a good mechanical knowledge.
• Strong problem solving abilities and ability to work autonomously within a team.
• Working to ISO9001 standards.

• Set, adjust and maintain bespoke production machinery used for cutting, forming and assembling metal parts.
• Fault finding on production machinery to ensure smooth running and carry out basic repairs.
• Liaising with management regarding production schedules.

We have an excellent opportunity for a Production Technician to join a leading manufacturer of stainless steel products. Reporting to the Factory Manager and working as part of a team, this role would suit someone who has good experience of running and setting machines, as well as carrying out basic maintenance and repair on the machines.

Duties of the Production Technician will include:

• Set, adjust and maintain bespoke production machinery used for cutting, forming and assembling metal parts
• Fault finding on production machinery to ensure smooth running and carrying out basis repairs
• Liaising with management regarding production schedules
• Work with production staff to resolve technical and setting issues, including liaising with toolroom and maintenance departments

This is a very hands on role within a busy production environment, where you will be working to support customer demand. You will be working very closely with the Production Manager who will be able to offer additional support and training for the right candidate.
