The successful applicant will accompany him to activities including swimming, attending social clubs, going for short walks, going out for meals and accessing other community opportunities based on his interests.
Applicants must hold a full driving licence and be confident driving a mobility vehicle, as transport is an essential part of this role.
The young man has epilepsy and can display behaviours that challenge at times. Experience of supporting individuals with epilepsy and/or challenging behaviour would be beneficial; however, a positive attitude, patience, consistency and a willingness to learn are equally important. Full training and guidance will be provided where required.
The ideal candidate will be dependable, calm, flexible and able to build a trusting and positive relationship while providing person-centred support that enables him to participate safely and enjoyably in everyday life.
You will be required to undergo the full PVG Disclosure Scotland process for this position and provide two references, one of which must be from your most recent employer. There is also a six‑month probationary period for this post.
