Job summary

SPACE is a charitable organisation in Exeter looking for a Youth Support Worker to join our team. The role is part-time, 20 hours per week, including two evenings, with duties across youth work delivery and community engagement.

You will contribute to planning, delivering and evaluating youth work programmes, helping unlock potential in young people, and benefiting from ongoing training and support in a supportive environment.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Youth Support Worker to work at our youth centre in 100 Club Youth Centre and local communities. The work will be part-time, permanent, 20 hours per week, and will include working 2 evenings per week, day time project work and occasional weekends. Come and join a team of youth workers delivering high quality youth work. Learn new skills - training and support will be provided.

Recruiting for attitude and seeking candidates with a passion to work with young people and help them to unlock their potential. The role is fun, challenging and rewarding.

  • Annual leave: 6 weeks for the first 5 years then increased to 7 weeks (pro-rata’d for part-time roles)

As part of our Safeguarding Policy and Procedures, all of our employees, contractors and volunteers will be expected to comply. Upon a conditional offer of appointment being made, all employees will also be required to satisfy our pre-employment screening process which will include:

  • An identity check (photo ID)
  • Receipt of satisfactory references cover for 3 years to current
  • Documentary evidence of right to work in the UK
  • A satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)
