Job summary

SPACE is a dynamic charity focused on unlocking potential for young people and their communities. We invite an experienced youth worker or a candidate ready to transition to youth work to lead sessions and support young people across Barnstaple, Bideford and surrounding communities.

The Lead Youth Work Practitioner role requires leadership, creativity and a commitment to safe, supportive spaces for young people.

About the job

Location: Bideford Based (Expected to work across North Devon with mileage reimbursement)

Employment type: Permanent

Hours of work: 30 Hours a week

Positions available: 1 post

Salary: JNC: Unqualified scale 12-13 (£30,745.00 - £31,885.00) and Qualified scale pt 14 - 17 (£33,066.00 - £35,533.00) pro rata

This post requires either an experienced youth worker or someone looking to change careers and work with young people as part of the youth work team. Transferable skills will be considered. Our Youth Centres are busy and vibrant spaces.. The successful candidate will enjoy the challenge of leading sessions alongside providing young people with individual packages of support.
