Job summary

Purple DPSS is seeking a Female Personal Assistant in Ely (CB6) to support an elderly client with daily living tasks, personal care and companionship. The role is part-time, on-site, 18 hours across weekdays, with potential extra hours when needed.

Rate of pay starts at £12.71+ per hour. Applicants should have a full driving licence, be fluent in English and able to work with sensitivity and discretion. Interviews will discuss duties and pay.

Qualifications

• Experience assisting with personal care and daily living tasks.
• Flexible hours and good communication.
• Must have a clean driving licence (25+ for insurance).
• Fluent English speaker.

Responsibilities

• Support with personal care in a dignified manner, meal preparation and cooking.
• Help with medication.
• Support with everyday chores, laundry, maintaining the domestic environment to the required standard.
• Support with social outings and medical appointments.
• Establish a close working relationship on a 1-1 basis.
• Undertake any duties which may be reasonably allocated and fall within the scope responsibility of the job.

Early 50’s female with physical disabilities. Likes to be as independent as possible, in reality this can vary on a day to day basis.

Hours and Rate of Pay:

18 hours over 5 week days. May be additional hours when husband is away on business.

Rate of Pay:

Can be discussed at interview: £12.71+

Person Specification:

• Help with personal care as well as day to day running of family life.
• Assistance with practical aspects of daily living.
• Assist/attend medical appointments.
• Be willing to prepare food & meals.
• Should have a genuine interest in the provision of high quality care, be able to work flexible hours and be a good communicator.
• Possess the motivation to develop trust and understanding within the role.
• Be hardworking, reliable, committed, honest and trustworthy. Have common sense and be able to use their initiative.
• Flexible
• Clean full driving licence essential (25+ for insurance purposes)
• Ability to speak English fluently
• Be cheerful with a good sense of humour.
