Job summary

Hunter Selection Limited is seeking a Maintenance Technician for an established manufacturing business in Ebbw Vale. You will support production through planned maintenance, breakdown repairs, and involvement in improvements and installation projects.

The role offers a four‑day week, excellent training, and ongoing development under the Engineering Manager, with a clear path to career growth.

Qualifications

• Timed served apprentice.
• Multi skilled with formal electrical qualification and mechanical experience.
• Instrumentation systems (thermocouples, level control, loop control).
• Hydraulic/pneumatic control systems knowledge.
• Competent in lathe and MIG welder and other workshop equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to production operations in all issues.
• Carry out shift-to-shift activities by prioritising production needs as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Work with the multi-skilled Engineering team to continuously improve maintenance.
• Diagnose and resolve equipment breakdowns.
• Participate in projects, plant improvement and equipment manufacture.
• Execute Planned Preventative Maintenance activities.
• Provide site support for building and facility maintenance and security.

This is a great opportunity to join the engineering team of an established manufacturing business in Ebbw Vale. Hunter Selection are working with an expanding business looking for a Maintenance Technician. This role will see you involved in engineering processes such as planned maintenance, rectifying breakdowns and involvement in improvement and installation projects. This role will enable you to develop your own career through training courses and support from the Engineering manager, as well as a four day week.

Role & Responsibilities:

• To provide support to production operations in all issues.
