Job summary

GI Group Main Account is seeking Yard Drivers to move brand new cars around the compound yard. You will work in a tidy, safe environment with on-site facilities and full training provided. A valid UK driving licence, 24+ months of licence tenure, and age of at least 22 are required, with a 2-week rota covering day and night shifts.

Weekly pay and strong health and safety training are included. Shifts run on a two-week rota (0600–1430 and 1600–0030).

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and held for 24 months+
• No more than 6 points on licence
• At least 22 years old for insurance purposes
• Two weeks rota with 0600–1430 and 1600–0030 shifts

Responsibilities

• Move brand new cars around the compound yard
• Drive cars around in the yard as required
• Adhere to standard work processes at all times
• Work in a clean environment indoors and outdoors
• Utilise on-site canteen and café facilities
• Take advantage of weekly pay cycle
• Maintain accurate records and timekeeping

Pay Rate per hour: £12.91 days and £16.78 afternoons

Gi Group works with British Car Auctions, based in Burnaston, DE1 9TA at the Car Plant.

We are looking for Yard Drivers to move brand new cars around in the compound yard.

• Working in a nice clean environment indoors and outdoors

• 25 days holiday + Public Bank Holidays

Requirements for a Yard Driver

• Working day and night shifts on 2 weeks rota 0600 to 1430 & 1600 to 0030
• Full UK driving licence and must be held for 24 months+ (with no more than 6 points) is essential
• Be at least 22 years old for insurance purposes
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• A very tidy and organised manner
• Excellent timekeeping and attendance record
• The ability to work under your own initiative when required
