Job summary

GI Group Grimsby are recruiting Discharge & Ferrying Drivers to support vehicle movements from vessels to an on-site compound in Grimsby. You'll work with manual, automatic and electric vehicles and receive 2 paid trainee shifts to learn the role before full deployment.

Roles involve driving vehicles from vessels to the on-site compound, ferrying between compounds, and moving vehicles safely within the yard with high care standards. Training is provided and overtime may be available.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence held for at least 2 years.
• Age 22+ for insurance purposes.
• Address must match your current home address.
• 3–6 points may be accepted subject to endorsement code.
• Reliability, punctuality and hard-working attitude.
• Availability for days and/or night shifts, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Drive new vehicles from vessels to the on-site compound.
• Drive new vehicles between compounds for ferrying.
• Move vehicles safely within the compound as required.
• Report any damage or issues immediately.

Discharge & Ferrying Drivers

to support vehicle movements from vessels to an on-site compound in Grimsby. You'll be working with manual, automatic and electric vehicles so will need to be comfortable with driving all. 2 paid trainee shifts provided to learn the role and build confidence before you get fully started.

The Role

• Drive new vehicles from vessels to the on-site compound
• Drive new vehicles between compounds for ferrying
• Move vehicles safely within the compound as required
• Maintain high standards of care and report any damage/issues immediately

Shifts & Pay

Varied hours across days, nights and weekends (shift dependent).

Pay rates: £12.71 - £14.97 per hour (depending on shift).

Overtime opportunities available.

Requirements

• Full Manual UK driving licence (held for at least 2 years)
