Job summary

Ignition Driver Recruitment is recruiting for a Class 2 Driver based in Tewkesbury, working at the Gloucester depot with occasional travel. You will handle bulk collections and deliveries, using a Class 2 vehicle and performing manual handling where needed.

We require a minimum of 12 months commercial driving experience, a valid Class 2 licence, UK DCPC and Digi-tacho card, and the ability to work to schedules.

Qualifications

• Must hold Class 2 Driving Licence with UK DCPC and Digi-tacho cards.
• Minimum 12 months experience driving commercially.
• Full UK work rights (no Visa sponsorship).

Responsibilities

• Drive Class 2 (Cat C) vehicle for bulk collections and deliveries.
• Adhere to delivery schedules and complete paperwork.
• Conduct vehicle checks and handle scanning of consignments.

Location: Tewkesbury (working from the Gloucester depot from time to time)

Shifts: Full-time hours - Monday to Friday - 09:00 starts

Ignition Driver Recruitment are looking for Class 2 Drivers in Tewkesbury to work with our client, who is the UK's leading Logistics & Distribution provider.

As this is a customer facing role, we are looking for people who are clean and tidy and have the ability to deal with different types of people.

About you:

You must have your Class 2 Driving Licence and at least 12 months experience driving commercially. You must also have your UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card. Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we can not accept DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements.

As a professional Driver, you will be up to date with the WTD regulations and maintain your own compliance requirements and you will be required to complete a Drug & Alcohol test and also a driving assessment.

You must be a UK resident (we are unable to assist people with VISAs or relocation) and have the relevant Right To Work documentation.
