Job summary

Driver Hire Uxbridge are recruiting for 7.5T drivers with low loader and plant lorry experience for a client near Southall. This is temporary ad-hoc work with shifts that are not guaranteed and early starts from 05:30 to 08:00.

Responsibilities include transporting and delivering plant and construction equipment, loading and securing loads, completing paperwork, and carrying out daily checks. Applicants must hold a valid UK CAT C1 licence, CPC, and have recent CAT C1 driving experience.

Qualifications

• Valid UK CAT C1 licence with 2+ years of experience.
• Valid CPC certification.
• Experience transporting plant and construction equipment.
• Recent CAT C1 driving (last 12 months) with 90+ days activity.
• Age 25+ for insurance purposes.
• Physically fit for manual handling and lifting.
• Professional attitude and good communication.

Mainly Monday-Friday day shifts | Starts between 05:30-08:00

Duties:

• Transport and deliver plant, machinery and construction equipment
• Operate 7.5T low loader / plant lorry
• Load, secure and unload plant safely
• Complete collections and deliveries to customer sites
• Carry out daily vehicle and equipment checks
• Complete delivery paperwork and maintain accurate records
• Follow all road safety and site procedures

Requirements:

• Valid UK CAT C1 (7.5T) licence for 2+ years, max 6 points (no DR, DD, TT or IN)
• Valid CPC
• Experience transporting plant and construction equipment
• 90+ days CAT C1 driving experience in the last 12 months
• 25+ years old for insurance purposes
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
• Good communication skills and professional attitude
