Job summary

Randstad Construction & Property is recruiting a dedicated Portfolio Accountant to manage end-to-end service charge accounting for a dedicated property portfolio in Croydon. You will work closely with Property Managers, clients, and auditors to ensure accurate year-end accounts and compliant VAT submissions.

The role offers hybrid working with 2 days WFH post-probation, a clear path for qualification funding (ACCA/CIMA/IRPM), and regular salary reviews as part of a supportive, growth-focused

Qualifications

• Experience as a Service Charge Accountant, Portfolio Accountant, or Block Property Accountant.
• Strong knowledge of residential property management regulations (RICS, ARMA-Q).
• Hands-on experience with property accounting systems (Qube, Yardi, Tramps) and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare year-end service charge accounts following RICS Codes of Practice and ARMA rules.
• Manage accruals, prepayments, developer voids, income splits, and balancing adjustments.
• Coordinate client audits, submit VAT returns to HMRC, and issue Section 20b notices.
• Resolve complex accounting queries with property managers, freeholders, and RMCs.
• Assist with the financial onboarding of newly acquired properties.

The Role

As a Service Charge Accountant, you will manage end-to-end service charge accounting for a dedicated property portfolio, working closely with Property Managers, clients, and auditors.

What We Are Looking For

• Excellent numerical precision, time management, and communication skills.
