Job summary

Randstad CPE in Croydon is recruiting a Service Charge Accountant to manage end-to-end service charge accounting for a dedicated residential portfolio. You will work with Property Managers, clients and auditors in a hybrid, flexible setup.

The role requires strong knowledge of RICS/ARMA regulations, hands-on use of Qube/Yardi/Tramps, and excellent Excel skills. Hybrid work with progression and regular salary reviews are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Service Charge Accountant, Portfolio Accountant, or Block Property Accountant.
• Strong knowledge of residential property management regulations (RICS, ARMA-Q).
• Hands-on experience with property accounting systems (Qube, Yardi, Tramps) and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare year-end service charge accounts following RICS Codes of Practice and ARMA rules.
• Manage accruals, prepayments, developer voids, income splits, and balancing adjustments.
• Coordinate client audits, submit VAT returns to HMRC, and issue Section 20b notices.
• Resolve complex accounting queries with property managers, freeholders, and RMCs.
• Assist with the financial onboarding of newly acquired properties.

The Role
