This part-time opportunity would suit an experienced SEN Teacher who is passionate about creating engaging, accessible and supportive learning experiences for pupils with complex additional needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons adapted to the individual needs and abilities of pupils.
• Support children with SLD and PMLD through personalised learning activities.
• Use a range of communication, sensory and learning strategies to encourage pupil engagement.
• Create a safe, structured and nurturing classroom environment.
• Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching approaches where necessary.
• Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SEN staff and other professionals to support pupils' development.
• Promote communication, independence and confidence wherever possible.
• Support pupils' social, emotional, physical and educational development.
• Follow individual education and support plans.
• Maintain a consistent and positive approach to behaviour and classroom routines.
