Job summary

Dimensions is hiring a Waking Night Support Worker to care for four gentlemen living together in Costessey. The role is full-time (37.5 hours/week) on a waking night rota, typically 9:00pm–7:00am, with 3–4 shifts per week including weekends.

A full UK manual driving licence is required. You will perform nightly wellbeing checks, provide companionship, assist with personal care and medication as needed, and handle routine domestic tasks.

This is a full time permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week on a waking night rota. Typical shifts are 9:00pm to 7:00am, with 3-4 shifts per week, including weekends.

As a Waking Night Support Worker, you'll be supporting four gentlemen who live together in Costessey, ensuring they remain safe, comfortable and well throughout the night. This is a lone-working role where you'll carry out regular wellbeing checks, provide support when needed, and respond to any overnight concerns.

While some of the gentlemen sleep independently, others may require reassurance, support with personal care, medication assistance, or help during periods of wakefulness. One gentleman can experience unsettled nights, so you'll need to be comfortable providing support and companionship throughout the night when required.

You'll also be responsible for completing household duties, including cleaning, laundry and ironing, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring a smooth handover to the day team.

Whilst this role is primarily focused on waking nights, it is not a waking night-only contract. We work as one team and, from time to time, you'll be expected to support and assist the day team by picking up daytime shifts where home needs require it.
