Job summary

Aspire Living is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to help adults with learning disabilities in daily life, empowering them to achieve personal goals.

You will provide personal and emotional support, assist with home planning, and help individuals pursue leisure, employment, and travel opportunities within their community.

Qualifications

• No prior experience or qualifications required; free, Skills for Care endorsed training will be provided.
• Compassionate, caring, confident and resilient.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident, articulate and professional.
• Keenness to learn in a fast-paced environment and creatively solve problems.
• Desire to embrace values and vision and have fun!

Responsibilities

• Help individuals develop new skills and engage in daily living activities.
• Provide personal and emotional support and assist with home planning and management.
• Support with leisure, employment and personal interests, including travel.
• Adapt support plans to each person’s goals and preferences.
• Work in people’s homes or communities as needed.

Supporting people in their daily lives is varied and could include helping someone develop new skills, providing personal and emotional support, helping people plan and manage their own home, support with leisure, employment, individual interests and travel. This can be a fun and rewarding but also at times challenging and demanding role.

You maybe be supporting people in their own home or out and about in their community.
