Location: Cilcennin (Work to be undertaken at this location)

Hours of work: 4 hours per week

Rate of pay £14.00 per hour

We are a retired couple who are looking for a kind, reliable Personal Assistant to support us both at home and in the local community. This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days will be the same.

About the Role

You will be supporting me with day-to-day tasks both in and outside the home. This may include helping me to engage in and undertake tasks in the garden, assisting with correspondence (letters, emails, paperwork), or supporting me to access my local amenities or social activities.

I’m a keen artist, so it would be lovely to find someone who shares an interest in art or enjoys creative activities.

Part of the role will also involve spending time with my husband, who is living with dementia. This will give me a break from my caring role and allow me to focus on things I’m unable to do without support. He enjoys a stroll in the garden, short walks around the area, and good conversation. Experience supporting someone with dementia would be helpful, but most important is a patient, calm and understanding nature.

You’ll also be asked to help with light household tasks such as making tea and coffee and preparing light snacks.
