Job summary

CareTech Cosy Lodge in Westwell Leacon, Charing, is recruiting a Senior Support Worker to lead a small team and deliver compassionate, person-centred support for adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs. The role offers a rewarding, long-term career where you can truly make a difference.

You will supervise shifts, ensure high-quality support plans are followed, coordinate activities and maintain thorough records.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work towards Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care.
• Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech).
• Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis.

Responsibilities

About the Service - Cosy Lodge

Cosy Lodge is a care home which provides care and support for up to 7 people with learning disabilities or autistic spectrum disorder with additional physical disability needs.

The service is situated just off the A20 between Ashford and Charing and has on site parking.

The Role

You will:

• Lead and supervise a team of Support Workers, providing guidance, role-modeling, and day-to-day direction.
• Deliver and oversee high-quality, person-centered support, ensuring support plans are followed, reviewed, and updated.
• Coordinate and participate in meaningful activities, appointments, and community engagement for the people we support.
• Maintain high standards of record-keeping, completing documentation, incident reports, and reviews professionally.
• Participate in the Senior On-call rota, responding to staff queries, incidents, and operational needs as required.
