Job summary

Rapier Employment is recruiting HGV Class 1 drivers for an automotive client in Solihull, Castle Bromwich and Wolverhampton. Work includes trunking, collections and trailer swaps with optional weekends and ad-hoc or full-week shifts.

Requirements include UK Class 1 licence, Driver CPC, at least 1 year on‑the‑road experience, 2+ years LGV experience, trailer coupling/uncoupling, max 6 points and no DR/DD convictions.

Job description

We are recruiting HGV class 1 drivers for our prestigious automotive client in Solihull, Castle Bromwich & Wolverhampton

Trunking-based work (no handball) or collections and trailer swaps (curtain-side)

You may be required to work out of the following locations (optional):

- Hams Hall B46

Various start times around the clock. Ad-hoc shifts or full weeks available.

Monday to Friday with optional weekends

HGV CLASS 1 Pay Rates:

Days (0600-1800) £16.68 per hour - guaranteed 9 hours per day (8 hrs basic + 1 hr overtime)

Nights (1800-0600) £20.85 per hour - guaranteed 9 hours per day (8 hrs basic + 1 hr overtime)

Overtime Nights (after 8 hrs) - £29.19 per hour

Overtime Days (after 8 hrs) - £25.02 per hour

Saturday Days - TBC per hour

Saturday Night/Sunday - £37.53 per hour

Bank Holiday - £37.53 per hour
