Job summary

Rapier Employment is recruiting HGV Class 1 drivers for an automotive client in Solihull, Castle Bromwich and Wolverhampton. Work includes trunking, collections and trailer swaps with optional weekends and ad-hoc or full-week shifts.

Requirements include UK Class 1 licence, Driver CPC, at least 1 year on‑the‑road experience, 2+ years LGV experience, trailer coupling/uncoupling, max 6 points and no DR/DD convictions.

Qualifications

• Class 1 licence (UK issued)
• Driver CPC (UK issued)
• MINIMUM 1 YEAR ON THE ROAD EXPERIENCE
• HELD LGV LICENCE FOR AT LEAST 2 YEARS
• coupling/uncoupling of trailers.
• Max 6 penalty points
• No DR or DD convictions

Responsibilities

• Trunking-based work (no handball) or collections and trailer swaps (curtain-side).
• Operate across Solihull, Castle Bromwich and Wolverhampton locations.
• Ad-hoc shifts or full weeks with variable start times.
