Job summary

Fawkes & Reece are recruiting an experienced Setting Out Engineer for a major National Grid substation project in Harker, Carlisle. The role involves accurate setting out from drawings, surveying with Total Station and GPS, and coordinating earthworks, foundations and roads on a large civils package.

You will produce as-built surveys, maintain site records, support QA/ITPs and work closely with Site Management and subcontractors. CSCS is required and a civils background is essential.

Qualifications

Strong civils or infrastructure background.
Proficient with Total Station and GPS.
Ability to read engineering drawings and coordinates.
CSCS is required.

Responsibilities

Setting out civil engineering works accurately from drawings.
Surveying using Total Station / GPS.
Setting out foundations, drainage, ducting, roads and earthworks.
Producing as-built surveys and maintaining site records.
Supporting QA, ITPs and technical queries.
Working closely with Site Management and subcontractors.
