Job summary

Derive Care Limited provides high-quality, person-centred domiciliary care to support individuals to remain safe, independent and comfortable in their own homes.

We are looking for caring, reliable and motivated Domiciliary Care Assistants to join our team across Monmouth and Newport. This community-based role involves travel between clients' homes, with a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle being mandatory.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Care experience desirable but not essential.
• Willingness to complete mandatory training and ongoing development.
• Enhanced DBS check where required.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Derive Care Limited provides high-quality, person-centred domiciliary care to support individuals to remain safe, independent and comfortable in their own homes.

We are looking for caring, reliable and motivated Domiciliary Care Assistants to join our team across Monmouth and Newport.

This is a community-based role involving travel between clients' homes. A full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle are mandatory.

Part time - 15-20 hrs a week

Full time - 35-45 hrs a week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred care in accordance with individual care plans.
• Support clients with personal care, dressing, bathing, toileting and continence care.
• Assist with mobility, transfers and other daily living activities.
• Support with meals, hydration and medication where trained and authorised.
• Provide companionship and encourage independence and choice.
• Assist with appropriate household tasks related to the client's wellbeing.
• Support clients with appointments, shopping and community activities where required.
• Monitor and report changes in clients' wellbeing or any safeguarding concerns.
• Maintain accurate and confidential care records.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety, infection control and company procedures.
• Work professionally with clients, families, colleagues and other professionals.
• Full UK driving licence – mandatory.
• Access to a vehicle – mandatory.
• Caring, respectful and dependable attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to complete mandatory training and ongoing development.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays where required.
• Satisfactory references and required pre-employment checks.
• Enhanced DBS check where required.

Previous care experience is desirable but not essential. Full training and support will be provided.

You will work in clients' homes across Monmouth and/or Newport travelling between visits as required.

This role involves working independently in the community and may include personal care, mobility support and other physically active duties.
