Job summary

Brook Street seeks an experienced Senior Children's Adventure Care Worker for a specialist children's residential home in Buxton. You will deliver high-quality care, support emotional wellbeing, and lead outdoor and adventure activities while maintaining records and care plans.

The role requires safeguarding knowledge, a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or near completion), 21+ years, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months' experience within a Children's Residential Home.
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or above, or close to completion.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted standards and residential childcare legislation.
• Experience of de-escalation and physical intervention techniques.
• Passion for supporting vulnerable young people and outdoor activities.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Applicants must be aged 21+ due to industry regulations.

Senior Children's Adventure Care Worker to join a specialist children's residential home in Buxton.

This is a unique opportunity to combine therapeutic residential childcare with outdoor and adventure-based activities, supporting young people through a trauma-informed approach. You will help provide a safe, nurturing environment where children can develop confidence, resilience and independence while achieving positive outcomes.
