Job summary

b3 jobs ltd is seeking a Compliance Manager in Burgess Hill, West Sussex. You will monitor regulatory changes, maintain health and nutrition claim records, and lead audits to uphold GMP and certs across the business.

You will draft SOPs, manage a QMS and CAPA processes, and train staff to embed a culture of compliance while supporting expansion into international markets.

Qualifications

Degree in nutrition, food science, law, or business.
3–5+ years of compliance experience in food, nutraceuticals, or regulated FMCG.
Strong knowledge of UK/EU food supplement and labeling laws (FSA & EFSA) and certification frameworks (BRCGS, SALSA, or GMP).

Responsibilities

Onboard and audit ethical vendors to ensure ingredient sustainability.

About the Compliance Manager job

The purpose of your role will be to keep your finger on the regulatory pulse to guide the company’s local and global expansion plans.

Manage their health and nutrition claims register so that they can tell their story powerfully and compliantly.

Host internal and third-party audits to maintain site certifications (GMP, Soil Association, Vegan Society, etc.).

Onboarding and auditing ethical vendors to ensure all raw ingredients match the company’s strict sustainability standards.

Delivering engaging compliance training across the business to foster a company-wide hunger for doing things right.

About You

With an eye for the tiniest of details, you will have a continuous-improvement mindset, turning standard operating procedures and audit findings into practical solutions for growth. In addition:

You will have a degree in Nutrition, Food Science, Law, or Business, coupled with 3–5+ years of compliance experience in food, nutraceuticals, or regulated FMCG.

A strong understanding on UK and EU food supplement and labelling laws (FSA & EFSA) and certification frameworks (BRCGS, SALSA, or GMP).

Proven experience writing SOPs, managing a QMS and handling CAPA / complaints with absolute confidence.

Ideally knowledge of international export markets (US, Canada, Australia) or Soil Association Organic standards and B Corp experience – both would be a huge plus!

The Compliance Manager job (ref 9119) is based in Burgess Hill, West Sussex and is paying £50,000 - £60,000 according to your experience.

The package includes Private Medical Insurance, 23 days holiday (plus Bank Holiday’s) rising to 30 days with long service, your birthday off, early finish on Friday during summer months, 50% discount on products and a generous 6.5% employer pension contribution.

The working hours are Monday - Friday, office hours.
