Job summary

Professional Personnel Management Ltd is seeking a DBS kitchen assistant to support the head chef and team in Bungay. You will handle prep tasks, cleaning duties, and occasional counter service, with duties including temperature paperwork and servery setup.

This temporary role may become permanent for reliable performers, with working hours Monday to Friday 2:00 PM–8:30 PM and a pay rate of £12.71 per hour plus holiday pay.

Qualifications

• DBS check required or willing to obtain.
• Experience in kitchen prep and basic hygiene.
• Availability for Mon–Fri, 2:00 PM–8:30 PM.
• Team player capable of working in busy periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist head chef with prep tasks and garnishes.
• Clean and maintain the kitchen area and surfaces.
• Help serve at the counter during busy times.
• Assist with temps and fridge/freezer temperature paperwork.
• Wash pots and help set up the servery area.

Job description

A DBS kitchen assistant is needed to assist the head chef & team with the tasks below:

• Prep jobs given by the head chef , could be cutting , grating , making a certain dish or garnish.
• Cleaning duties of the kitchen area.
• Helping to serve on the counter at busy times
• Assisting with paperwork where required for cooking temps , reheating temps & fridge / freezer temps.
• Assisting with pot washing
• Helping the team to set up the servery area

This is a temporary role, but candidates will have the potential to go perm, if they exceed.

The working hours are Monday - Friday 2PM - 8.30PM

The rate of pay is £12.71 Plus Hol Pay
