Job summary

Professional Personnel Management Ltd is seeking an Assistant Grounds Maintenance Contracts Manager in the Bromsgrove area to support the contracts manager with day-to-day tasks, planning, and regional travel.

Ideal candidates will hold horticulture qualifications (BSc/Horticulture or NVQ/Amenity Horticulture) and have practical experience with ride-on mowers, hedge trimmers, and spray use; a driving licence is essential. Salary circa £32k plus package and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years' experience in corporate and/or local authority grounds maintenance.
• Minimum of 1 year’s experience in people supervision or management.
• Practical use of ride-on mowers, hedge trimmers, strimmers, scarifiers, and tractor driving.
• Excellent plant and pest knowledge.
• Ability to work well in a team or independently.
• Valid driving licence, preferably with trailer use ability.

Assistant Grounds Maintenance Contracts Managers

Assistant Grounds Maintenance Contracts Managers are required in the Bromsgrove area by one of the UK's leading Horticulture and Grounds Maintenance Specialists.

The role is to assist the contracts manager with all associated tasks and you will be required to travel as and when needed within the region.

Relevant Qualification and Training

(Ideally you will have one or more of the qualifications listed below, or other relevant qualification, dependent upon site or contract)

• BSc in Horticulture
• City and Guilds/NVQ Amenity Horticulture Stage I and II
• City and Guilds/NVQ Amenity Horticulture Management Phase III and IV
• HND Amenity Horticulture
• HND Landscape Management
• I.O.G. Diploma in Turf Culture
• Diploma in Management Studies
• IOSH, ROLO or other Health and Safety Qualification

Ideally you will have the below

• Minimum of 4 year's experience of Corporate and/or Local Authority Grounds Maintenance.

• Practical use of ride on mowers, hedge trimmers, strimmers, scarifiers, tractor driving and chemical use
• Excellent plant and pest knowledge

• Holds valid driving licence preferably with legal and practical ability to use a trailer
