Job summary

Workforce Unlimited is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance professional for a busy food manufacturing environment on a part-time basis in Brighton, UK. You will work with Technical, Production, Hygiene and Warehouse teams to ensure products are manufactured safely and to the required quality standards.

Responsibilities include QA inspections, monitoring GMP/GHP/HACCP, product and packaging checks, allergen controls, traceability, audits, and continuous improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in quality assurance within food manufacturing preferred.
• Understanding of GMP, GHP, HACCP and food safety standards.

• Monitor GMP, GHP, HACCP and food safety standards.
• Complete quality checks throughout production, including product, weight, packaging and labelling checks.
• Monitor allergen controls and changeovers to prevent cross-contamination.
• Check raw materials, traceability, batch coding and storage conditions.
• Carry out environmental, hygiene and microbiological sampling where required.
• Identify and manage non-conforming products, product holds and corrective actions.
• Ensure QA and production records are completed accurately.
• Support internal, customer and external audits.
• Assist with investigations, complaints, root-cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Ensure end-of-production checks are completed and outstanding issues are appropriately escalated.
