Job summary

Gateway Housing Association is seeking an experienced Multi Trader to deliver high-quality reactive repairs and maintenance across social housing properties in London. The postholder will work independently and as part of an in-house repairs team to complete a wide range of multi-trade repairs in occupied and void properties, ensuring safety and right-first-time outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering reactive repairs and maintenance in social housing.
• Ability to diagnose faults across multiple trades and apply repair solutions.
• Work independently and as part of an in-house repairs team to meet standards.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations (asbestos awareness, COSHH, manual handling).

Responsibilities

• Complete reactive repairs and minor planned works to a high standard, achieving right first time outcomes.
• Diagnose faults accurately and apply repair solutions across multiple trades.
• Collaborate with operatives, supervisors, and schedulers to support service delivery.
• Maintain stock, van, and tools in a clean, safe, and serviceable condition.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g. asbestos awareness, COSHH, manual handling).
