Job summary

Meridian Business Support is recruiting a Forklift Driver for a global soft drinks manufacturer based in Bridgwater (TA6). The role offers a salary of £32,050.70 per year with a 4 on 4 off rolling shift pattern and 12-hour days/nights. You will train to operate a Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) truck and must be willing to work at heights up to 16 metres. Training is provided, with benefits including 22 days holiday, pension and healthcare options.

We are looking for Forklift Driver to join a global independent soft drinks manufacturer with 78 manufacturing sites worldwide including 6 sites in the UK, based in Bridgwater (TA6)

- Salary £32,050.70 pa (Basic £29,137.00 with a shift allowance of £2,913.70)

- 4 on 4 off Rolling Shift pattern - covering days & nights

- 12 Hour shifts – Day: 06:00 to 18:00 / 07:00 to 19:00 & Night: 18:00 to 06:00 or 19:00 - 07:00

This is no ordinary Forklift Driver role; you will join the team and get trained up to operate on of the sites Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) truck – All training is provided.

A Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) truck is like a reach forklift truck, but instead of the forks lifting up on a VNA the cab and the forks lift up as one meaning people that we bring on must be happy to work at heights of up to 16 metres high (approximately a 3–4 storey building).

You will operate the VNA to ensure the materials and finished products are stored, moved and supplied safely and efficiently dispatched to customer on time every time.

Previous VNA, Reach Truck or Counterbalance experience is desirable, but not essential, as full VNA training will be provided. You'll also ensure all Health & Safety, Food Safety and Quality standards are followed at all times.
