Job summary

Meridian Business Support is recruiting a Forklift Driver for a global soft drinks manufacturer in Bridgwater (TA6). The role offers a salary of £32,050.70 per year (basic £29,137 with a shift allowance of £2,913.70), on a 4 on 4 off rolling shift pattern covering days and nights.

Shifts are 12 hours long: days 06:00-18:00 or 07:00-19:00; nights 18:00-06:00 or 19:00-07:00. You will join a team and receive full training to operate a Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) truck, with all health and safety, food

Qualifications

• VNA, Reach Truck or Counterbalance experience is desirable; full VNA training will be provided.
• Adheres to Health & Safety, Food Safety and Quality standards at all times.

Responsibilities

• Move, store and supply materials and finished products throughout the warehouse.
• Operate a Very Narrow Aisle truck following full training.
• Load and unload palletised goods safely and efficiently.
• Place and retrieve stock from racking up to 16 metres high.
• Prepare products for production and customer dispatch.
• Maintain accurate stock control and inventory accuracy.
• Follow Health & Safety, Food Safety and Quality procedures.
• Keep a clean, organised and safe working environment at all times.

We are looking for Forklift Driver to join a global independent soft drinks manufacturer with 78 manufacturing sites worldwide including 6 sites in the UK, based in Bridgwater (TA6)

Salary £32,050.70pa (Basic £29,137.00 with a shift allowance of £2,913.70)

4 on 4 off Rolling Shift pattern - covering days & nights

12 Hour shifts - Day: 06:00 to 18:00 / 07:00 to 19:00 & Night: 18:00 to 06:00 or 19:00 - 07:00

This is no ordinary Forklift Driverrole; you will join the team and get trained up to operate on of the sites Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) truck - All training is provided.

A Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) truck is like a reach forklift truck, but instead of the forks lifting up on a VNA the cab and the forks lift up as one meaning people that we bring on must be happy to work at heights of up to 16 metres high (approximately a 3-4 storey building).

You will operate the VNA to ensure the materials and finished products are stored, moved and supplied safely and efficiently dispatched to customer on time every time.

Previous VNA, Reach Truck or Counterbalance experience is desirable, but not essential, as full VNA training will be provided. You'll also ensure all Health & Safety, Food Safety and Quality standards are followed at all times.

Forklift Driver: Key Responsibilities
