Job summary

Voyage Care is seeking a Deputy Manager to lead our ABI service in Gloucester. You will oversee a team of carers, develop and implement person-centred support plans, and ensure high-quality care for our clients.

Responsibilities include conducting needs assessments, recruiting and inducting new colleagues, supervising staff, completing medication competencies and audits, and representing the service in multi-disciplinary meetings. An on-call rota may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory role within a care service.
• Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification.
• Experience working with individuals with acquired brain injury (ABI) preferred.
• Ability to recruit, induct staff and conduct supervision.

Shifts would typically:

7:45 - 3:15 and 14:45 - 10:15 Monday - Sunday Nights maybe required last minute in an emergency

Deputy Managers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support are at the heart of our management teams. We’re currently searching for a fantastic Deputy Manager to join us in leading our ABI (Acquired Brain Injury) service in Gloucester. This service is a welcoming and friendly environment with a dynamic team that supports a fantastic group of people!

Our Deputy Managers will be responsible for managing a team of colleagues with the purpose of helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives. You could be developing and implementing person centred support plans, conducting care needs assessments, recruiting and inducting new colleagues, completing supervisions/appraisals, completing medication competencies and medication audits, attending mutli-disciplinary meetings, completing reports and generally assisting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day management of our service. You’ll never lose sight of why you choose to do this, as our Deputy Service Managers play a central role in team leadership and have a hands‑on approach to care management.

You will also take part in the on-call rota (although this may be subject to change depending on the needs of the service).

We’re interested in our Deputy Managers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Deputy Manager should have previous experience in a supervisory role and a Level 3 in Health & Social Care. Experience working with individuals with an acquired brain injury would also be preferred.
