Job summary

An exciting new job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Registered Nurse to work in an exceptional service based in the Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire area, provided by one of the UK’s leading health care providers. You will assess residents’ needs, administer medications under NMC guidelines, and ensure care plans are completed with residents, relatives and other professionals.

The role is a permanent full-time position with shifts, offering £22.00–£23.40 per hour, paid monthly, plus benefits

Qualifications

• Qualified as a Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with an active NMC pin.
• Experience working with learning disabilities is essential.
• Strong empathy and communication with residents and families.

Responsibilities

This service provides support for people with learning disabilities and complex needs who would benefit from living in a more peaceful setting

As a Nurse your key duties include:

• Accurately assess the needs of residents and identify priorities of care
• Administer all medication and treatments within the NMC guidelines and company’s medication policy
• Ensure that residents care plans are completed and maintained in conjunction with residents, relatives and other health care professionals
• Report any ill-health amongst residents and make request for GP/professional visit where necessary

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

• Proven experience of working in a care setting
• Ability to show empathy, understanding and experience of the needs of the client group
• Well-developed time management and leadership skills
• Able to show a can-do attitude always

To be considered for this position you must be qualified as a Registered Nurse either RGN or RMN with a valid NMC Pin – Must have experience working with learning disabilities
