Job summary

Turners (Soham) Ltd is seeking professional Class 1 drivers for the Aldridge depot to deliver bulk cement across the UK. The role involves regular nights out, Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays, and full bulk powder training. Previous bulk powder or tanker experience is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided. We offer a modern fleet, pension, and CPC training along with bulk powder tank training.

Qualifications

• Required 35 hours of CPC training.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Professional attitude and commitment to excellent customer service.
• Willingness to learn and undertake full bulk powder training.
• Flexibility regarding working hours and nights out.

Responsibilities

• Carry out nationwide bulk cement deliveries safely and professionally.
• Complete all required vehicle and equipment checks.
• Operate bulk powder equipment following full training.
• Always maintain excellent customer service and professional standards.
• Work closely with our planning, training and transport teams.
• Carry out other transport duties when required.
• Remain flexible regarding start and finish times, as working hours can vary within the haulage industry.
• Comply fully with Tachograph and Working Time Directive regulations.

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday | Nights Out | Occasional Saturdays

Turners (Soham) Ltd is one of the UK’s largest privately owned transport companies, and due to continued growth within our Bulk Powder Division, we are looking for professional and reliable Class 1 Drivers to join our team at our Aldridge depot.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Class 1 drivers looking to develop their skills in bulk powder transport. Previous bulk powder or tanker experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.

The Role

As a Bulk Powder Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of bulk cement throughout the UK. The role involves regular nights out, working Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday work.

You will be expected to:

• Carry out nationwide bulk cement deliveries safely and professionally.
• Complete all required vehicle and equipment checks.
• Operate bulk powder equipment following full training.
• Always maintain excellent customer service and professional standards.
• Work closely with our planning, training and transport teams.
• Carry out other transport duties when required.
