Job summary

Turners (Soham) Ltd is one of the UK's largest privately owned transport companies, and due to continued growth within our Bulk Powder Division, we are recruiting professional and reliable Class 1 Drivers to join the team based out of Woolpit.

This is a great opportunity for experienced bulk powder drivers, as well as Class 1 drivers looking to develop their skills within the bulk powder sector.

Previous bulk powder experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided to the right candidate. We are looking for drivers with a professional attitude who are reliable, safety-conscious and willing to learn.

The Role

As a Bulk Powder Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of bulk cement to various locations.

The role offers a variety of working patterns, with day and afternoon/evening shifts available, as well as opportunities for nights out for drivers who require or prefer tramping work.

Drivers will also be expected to carry out different transport operations as required, providing flexibility across the business.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering bulk cement safely and efficiently to customers and sites.
• Operating bulk powder equipment following full training.
• Completing vehicle and equipment checks.
• Maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.
• Completing all relevant delivery and transport documentation.
• Working closely with the transport and planning teams.
• Carrying out other transport operations when required.
• Complying with all relevant Tachograph, Working Time Directive and transport legislation.

If you already hold a Class 1 licence and have a good attitude, a willingness to learn and a professional approach to driving, this could be an excellent opportunity to develop your experience in specialist bulk powder transport.
