Turners (Soham) Ltd in Runcorn is recruiting LGV Class 1 Bulk Powder Drivers for a tramping role with regular nights out. You will join a large, private transport company, operating a modern fleet and benefitting from a pension scheme and uniform provision.

Applicants must hold a full HGV Class 1 licence with 35 hours CPC, and have good written and spoken English. Overtime and weekly pay are available, with potential for bonus schemes and paid CPC training during employment.

Job description

Turners (Soham) Ltd is the UK’s largest privately owned transport Company. We are looking to recruit LGV Class 1 Bulk Powder Drivers based in Runcorn, WA7 4UY. This is a Tramping position therefore nights out will be required.

As a professional driver working for Turners Bulk Powder Division, you will be required to demonstrate skill, professionalism, and excellent customer service. You will develop close working relationships with your planning and training team, alongside other drivers and staff members in a close-knit organisation that strives to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for all.

The haulage industry is one of varying hours and timings and will require potential candidates to be flexible in their approach to start and finish times.

We are looking for tramping drivers to work Monday to Friday shift pattern with nights out and occasional weekend working, up to 5 nights out a week. Shift lengths do vary but you will be expected to comply with the Tachograph & Working Time Directive regulations at all times.

Full bulk powder tank training will be provided, as a large and ever-expanding company, Turners can take on new drivers with limited experience. All we ask is you are willing and keen to learn.

Successful applicants MUST have the following:

Average earnings estimated annually £46,000*.

*(Earnings estimate based on 60 hours per week (Mon – Fri), 4 nights out, Gold Fuel Bonus, Annual Leave & Bank Holidays Included).
