Job summary

Hilton in Birmingham is seeking a Food and Beverage Supervisor to oversee daily banquet operations and deliver memorable guest experiences. This role sits within a globally recognised hospitality brand with a strong culture of care for its team members.

You will lead events from planning to execution, supervise the F&B team, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol regulations. The position offers full-time hours and permanent contract in a vibrant hotel environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a flawless event setup: Oversee function room setups, linens, silverware, glassware, chinaware per standards.
• Collaborate for success: Communicate event specs and updates to relevant teams in F&B.
• Oversee event breakdown: Ensure rooms and equipment are stored correctly after events.
• Manage team performance: Schedule, supervise, coach and recognise the F&B team.
• Uphold regulatory standards: Maintain health, safety, sanitation and alcohol compliance.

What You’ll Do During a Typical Day

• Delight our guests: Bring an upbeat and friendly attitude to all guest interactions and proactively look for ways to make their experience special
• Supervise execution of events: Plan, organize, and execute various events within our F&B outlets, such as breakfasts, coffee breaks, luncheons, dinners, cocktail receptions, and galas.
• Ensure a flawless event setup: Oversee the setup of function rooms, ensuring linens, silverware, glassware, and chinaware are arranged according to event specifications and quality standards
• Collaborate for success: Communicate event specifications, procedures, and updates to relevant teams in Food and Beverage
• Oversee event breakdown: Ensure function rooms are properly broken down and all equipment is stored correctly for the next event
• Manage team performance: Oversee F&B team, including scheduling, supervision, coaching, and recognition
• Uphold regulatory standards: Maintain compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations, ensuring the highest standards of guest and team member wellbeing
