Job summary

Daniel Owen Ltd is seeking a Carpenter & Joiner to support a long-term social housing maintenance programme on behalf of the local council. You will carry out first and second fix carpentry and joinery across housing properties, undertake kitchen repairs, and service doors.

The role requires a valid UK driving licence, City & Guilds Craft or NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry, and a CSCS Blue Skilled Worker Card; a basic DBS check.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence (min 12 months).
• City & Guilds Craft or NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry.
• CSCS Blue Skilled Worker Card.
• Basic DBS check.

Job description

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 am - 5:00 pm

Salary: £37,000.00 per annum

We have an opportunity for a Carpenter & Joiner to join a long-term social housing maintenance programme, delivered on behalf of the local council.

Responsibilities:

• Carrying out first and second fix carpentry and joinery works across a variety of social housing properties.
• Undertaking kitchen repairs, and repairing or replacing front, rear, and internal doors.
• Performing locksmith duties, including repairing, replacing, and maintaining locks.

Receiving and managing job assignments via a handheld PDA device (full training provided)

Providing excellent customer service, maintaining a professional and courteous manner with tenants.

Requirements:

Full UK Driving Licence (minimum of 12 months)

City & Guilds Craft or NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry

CSCS Blue Skilled Worker Card

• Basic DBS Check
• Company van provided for business use, including accident cover, fuel card, and parking permit.
