Job summary

Greggs plc is seeking a Shift Manager to lead a busy storefront and keep operations running smoothly. You will guide the team, ensure excellent customer service, and step in when the Store Manager is unavailable. Your day includes staff motivation, food preparation support, and maintaining a clean, well-stocked shop.

Responsibilities

• Inspire the team to deliver great results and maintain high shop standards.
• Lead by example and serve customers in a fast, friendly way.
• Oversee product preparation, including sandwiches and ovens.
• Ensure displays are fully stocked and the shop is clean and presentable.
• Manage shifts when the Store Manager isn't onsite.

About the role

Join us as a Shift Manager and you’ll be part of a team that loves putting customers first.As part of the management team,you’llbe responsible forlooking after the shop when the Managerisn’taround. You will engage and motivate the team, and make sure they have what they need to do an amazing job.We serve our customers acrossa number ofdifferent channels; in-shop, delivery,Click+Collect and drive thru.You\'lllead the way inmaking sure customers have a brilliant experience when shopping with us - whether they order in store or order their food online. While no two shifts will be the same, during a typical shift you can expect to:

• Inspire the team to deliver amazing results andmaintainthe excellent standards of the shop
• Lead by example and serve our customers in a fast and friendly manner
• Prepare our much-loved products, including making sandwiches and managing the ovens
• Ensure our displays are fullystocked at all times, with plenty of choice available for our customers
• Keep the shop looking clean,tidyand presentable
