We are partnering with a large and complex healthcare organisation to appoint an exceptional Finance Director. This is a high-profile leadership opportunity with responsibility for commercial finance across a substantial operational division.

You will combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, helping operational leaders make better decisions, improve financial performance and deliver a significant transformation agenda. The Opportunity

• Lead a high-performing finance team and develop a genuine finance business partnering culture.
• Partner with senior operational leaders, providing insight and constructive challenge to improve commercial and financial performance.
• Take ownership of budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and delivery of the agreed financial plan.
• Drive revenue growth, margin improvement, cost optimisation and operational efficiency programmes.
• Provide senior financial oversight for business cases, investment decisions, tenders and strategic initiatives.
• Lead financial and operational transformation, maintaining a quantified improvement pipeline and tracking benefits realisation.
• Identify emerging commercial and financial risks early, ensuring clear corrective actions are implemented.
• Strengthen management information and commercial reporting to enable faster, better decision-making.

About You

You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with a strong record of finance leadership in a complex, commercially focused environment.

• Significant experience in commercial finance, finance business partnering or Finance Director-level roles.
• Experience leading and developing finance managers or Heads of Finance.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and financial modelling expertise.
• A track record of holding operational teams to account for financial performance.
• Experience of bids, tenders, contract procurement or complex commercial arrangements.
• Proven delivery of transformation, cost efficiency and margin improvement programmes.
• The credibility to influence senior operational and executive stakeholders.
• The ability to translate complex financial information into clear, practical commercial insight.
