Qualifications

• Senior Quantity Surveyor / Quantity Surveyor with proven experience in main contracting.
• Experience on projects valued £500k–£10m across sectors.
• Experience managing live/occupied buildings advantageous.
• Strong procurement, negotiation and cost-control skills; excellent commercial and contractual knowledge.
• RICS qualification desirable, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Full commercial management of projects from procurement through final account.
• Subcontract procurement, tendering and negotiation.
• Cost control, forecasting, valuations and CVRs.
• Applications for payment, variations and commercial claims.
• Final accounts and commercial negotiations.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
• Support value engineering and cost-saving initiatives.

Our client is seeking an experienced

Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Building team, working on a diverse portfolio of projects across

Essex, London and the wider region.

Projects typically range from

£500k to £10m and include

retail, healthcare, residential, education, refurbishment and commercial schemes, including works within live and occupied buildings.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven QS to take full ownership of projects from

procurement through to final account, working closely with clients, Project Managers, consultants and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

Full commercial management of projects valued

Manage projects from procurement through to final account

About You

Proven

Senior Quantity Surveyor / Quantity Surveyor experience

Main contractor background preferred

Experience managing

Strong commercial and contractual knowledge

Excellent procurement, negotiation and cost-control skills
