Job summary

Custom Links Care is seeking enthusiastic Support Workers to join our team in Basildon and surrounding areas. We support adults with learning disabilities to live independently in their own homes and communities, promoting dignity, choice and inclusion.

Role involves assisting with daily routines, personal care where required, meal prep, household tasks and helping individuals access local activities. Training and ongoing support are provided, with weekly shifts pattern and DBS checks.

Qualifications

• Experience or willingness to work in care/support settings.
• Ability to follow care plans and risk assessments.
• Commitment to promoting independence and dignity.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting individuals with daily routines and personal care where required.
• Encouraging independence and supporting people to make their own choices.
• Assisting with meal preparation, household tasks and daily living activities.
• Supporting individuals to access the local community and participate in social activities.
• Helping people develop life skills and work towards personal goals.
• Providing positive, patient and consistent support.
• Following individual support plans, risk assessments and relevant care procedures.
• Promoting dignity, respect, inclusion and safeguarding at all times.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues, families and other professionals.
