Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Light/Commercial Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• Proven experience as Car & LCV Technician with strong diagnostic capability.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Own a comprehensive set of tools.
• Organised, motivated and quality-focused.
• Team-oriented with a positive, professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and repairs on cars and vans to high standards.
• Diagnose faults with diagnostic tools and manufacturer software.
• Perform mechanical repairs including brakes, clutches, gearboxes, engines and electrical systems.
• Service and repair trailers when required.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and inspections.
• Perform roller brake testing and fault diagnosis.
• Maintain detailed job cards and parts used.
• Adhere to health and safety protocols in the workshop.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional standards.
• Communicate needs with Workshop Supervisor.

Duties of the Car & LCV Technician:

• Conduct servicing and repairs on cars and vans to high standards
• Diagnose faults accurately using advanced diagnostic tools and manufacturer software
• Perform mechanical repairs including brakes, clutches, gearboxes, engines, and electrical systems
• Service and repair trailers where required
• Prepare and present vehicles for MOT testing and inspections
• Conduct roller brake testing and fault diagnosis
• Maintain detailed documentation for each job, including job cards and parts used
• Adhere to all health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional standards
• Communicate effectively with the Workshop Supervisor regarding tooling or support needs

Requirements:
